Gizmodo's booking test: humans were faster

Gizmodo (Japan edition, adapting a US test) gave free-tier Muse three jobs. It instantly booked a 6 p.m. table for two in Midtown and added it to the calendar, but the menu was far over budget and replies were slow. It wrote a strong airline refund letter from a receipt and screenshots, though the airline doesn't take email. Comparing a $1,000+ holiday round trip on Expedia took over 20 minutes with errors, and United blocked the bot, so the writer booked by hand.

A Japanese mom plans a family Hawaii trip, almost too smoothly

A mom who mainly used ChatGPT tried Muse on a friend's tip. It analyzed her Instagram and Threads accounts, weaknesses included, then planned a family Hawaii trip she had barely started: restaurants nearly booked in one tap, help creating the accounts bookings needed, cancellations and new searches when she changed her mind, and an itinerary suited to the climate. It asked before passwords or personal data and stopped before payment. She found the pace unsettling and worries about leaning on it too much.
